AAUW is a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance. Your membership makes AAUW’s powerful voice even stronger on critical issues affecting women and girls.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and are enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution. Students enrolled at College/University Partner Member institutions receive a free e-Student affiliation.

Local Branch – We have a very vibrant local branch in Carlsbad, NM. In 2024, we saw a significant increase in our membership, with over 30 new members. We offer a variety of programs for all ages. We typically have a monthly meeting, a monthly program, a book group meeting, and a monthly lunch bunch. Our programs range from social events, fundraisers, and events to honor our high school girls. Our biggest events include our Champagne Brunch en Blanc, Wine and Tapas Fundraiser, Exploring the Possibilities STEM event, and our annual Scholars Reception. We offer members only events as well as public events like our Women’s History Trivia Night. Reach out to us, if you’re interested on joining the fun!
